What's in the Video?

The security of monitoring an automation system is becoming ever more important when thinking about implementing an IIoT solution. What are the trends and countermeasures to this increasing threat?

We will discuss with experts from Intel, Microsoft and Secomea to get their views. Find out what are the biggest threats in the IIoT systems, and also the range of solutions available from Advantech and its partners to help combat them.

Session Highlights

The security of monitoring an automation system is becoming more and more important when thinking about implementing an IIoT Solution. What are the trends and countermeasures to this increasing threat? We will discuss with Intel, Microsoft and Secomea to get their views.

  • One of our guests, Intel, is implementing a range of solutions embedded directly within their processing, storage and communication solutions aiming at users who want to develop secure systems. In this session, they provide some insight into how these features can be leveraged by users wanting to develop ‘whole stack’ security.

  • Microsoft suggests that instead of focusing on building higher barriers to intrusion, organisations should instead base countermeasures on the assumption that intrusion has already happened. Join us to hear more about how they view the priorities for system security.

  • Networks are becoming increasingly heterogeneous, and as a consequence, the availability of attack vectors is increasing. As multiple stakeholders become increasingly involved in the operation, maintenance or service offered from a system, so the policies, procedures and guidelines of the IEC 62443 standard become an increasingly relevant reference for how to address security in a holistic way. Secomea explains why.
