In 2021, Advantech achieved notable progress in environmental sustainability. They identified sustainable uses for existing products, with 12.1% of revenue coming from them. 

The company set ambitious Science-Based Targets for carbon reduction, aiming for a 60% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 products and a 49% reduction in Scope 3 products by 2030, based on 2019 levels. Advantech underwent a successful compliance review by the Science-Based Targets Initiative, becoming the third technology company in Taiwan to pass. 

The company also earned a B Listing in the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire, showcasing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
