Reducing water consumption by detecting hidden leakage

PROBLEM:

Most buildings have pipes both providing the building with freshwater and removing wastewater, but often these pipes are hidden from view, making difficult to detect leaks quickly. Undetected leaks can result in reduced water flow efficiency, increase water cost, and expensive property damage.

SOLUTION:

Helicon’s smart building and resource management solution, enabled by Advantech HW and data & device management services, was able to collect sensor data to assist property managers and owners in reducing and optimising water consumption. The user can monitor water flow, receive alerts is a leak is detected, and receive recommendations to help identify where a problem is and fix it.
