A system integrator’s monitoring and management solution, enabled by Advantech HW and data & device management services, was able to collect relevant environmental parameters, equipment operation parameters, and energy consumption to monitor and eventually reduce energy consumption, as well as improving maintenance processes by alerting to anomalies or failures and analysing historical data.

PROBLEM:

The largest energy sinks in office buildings are the HVAC systems. In order to optimise energy efficiency, Facility Managers need to monitor and control energy consumption whilst considering the comfort of occupants.

SOLUTION:

Advantech and an SI developed a real-time monitoring and control platform in order to collect environmental parameters from wired and wireless sensors, collect energy consumption data from meters, and integrate with existing building management systems. The platform also ingests, stores, and analyses data to create reports to be shared with third party applications, and predicts energy consumption through machine learning approaches.
